Progress

Apparently, there is none.
At least, with some people.
In this day and age, in a place where one’s comfort is thought to have always been secure due to progressive and inclusive ideals being espoused, it is frightening to learn that fear of the different is alive and well.
How then can one, on principle, choose to remain idly by and allow this to propagate? It baffles me that backward thinking is coming from people you would expect to be future-looking.
There is no excuse for supporting any idea of discrimination, no matter how seemingly well-intentioned. It is the bigot that must be stopped, not the victim. To do otherwise is a poor reflection of one’s humanity.
