Chameleon

We’ve all been so busy admiring Johnny Depp and Meryl Streep for being such acting chameleons that another chameleon rarely gets the praise she so deserves beyond cineastes.
Of course, those in the know do know how wonderful Tilda Swinton is, who at the age of 56 not only looks much younger but has also accomplished much in her career that spans artsy indie films and huge cinematic blockbusters.
I am still crossing my fingers that she gets to be cast as Akasha, Queen of the Damned in the Anne Rice universe that will soon have new life in film, while Cate Blanchett gets cast as the ancient red-headed vampire twins Maharet and Mekare; this way, they can have a grand face-off of talented actresses that will surely be epic.
In the meantime, here’s hoping her Ancient One from the recent MCU movie Doctor Strange makes some kind of return in Thor: Ragnarok – where Dr. Strange will likely be involved with. This way, she can still face off with Cate, who has been cast as Hela, Queen of the Underworld.
Hey, it can happen.
Happy birthday, Tilda!
