It’s Maundy Thursday today, and if you are Christian, let’s reflect on what today truly means for each and everyone of us.
Coco Loco, Part 2

So today I continue with my thoughts on Coco Beach Resort in Puerto Galera. As I mentioned yesterday, the gang decided to have a quick overnight getaway in the midst of all this wretched summer heat, and Coco Beach was definitely a great place to choose since I’d been wanting to try it out for the longest time.
And yes, there are definitely a lot of good things about the resort and its beautiful surroundings, but then there are also… the bad and the ugly.
Coco Loco, Part 1

I’d been to Puerto Galera many times since the late 90s. In all those times, except for the first time which was a Sabang trip for my college Invertebrate Zoology class, I’d always gone to White Beach. Admittedly, White Beach probably isn’t as nice and fun as it once was, but I still did return again and again.
This year, on a (relative) whim and in trying to find a quick summer getaway over the weekend, we decided for a good old reliable but with a twist: Puerto Galera, but on a different beach. Now, I’ve always wanted to try Coco Beach, so with no dissent from the gang, we booked it. Luckily, considering it was summer and we were going on the Saturday before Holy Week, there was still one room available that could accommodate the six of us, .
And so it was that Bj, Norlan, Andre, Gilbert, Dan and I made our way to Galera again after a long time of not going.
It was a fairly good decision, sans the earthquake of course.
Step Back In Time

We all have our guilty pleasures. One of these, for me, is the campy yet surprisingly earworm-inducing late 90s pop group Steps, who many considered as a bit of a spiritual successor of the glorious and amazing ABBA.
Well, since 90s pop group reunions seem to be all the rage these days, of course Steps cannot be left behind, can they? So here they are, back for their 20th anniversary with a new song.
And as always, it just stays in your head.

Masterpiece Theater

Today, a true master of film celebrates his 78th birthday.
People will always remember Francis Ford Coppola for movies like Apocalypse Now and the Godfather series. And of course, rightly so. These are classics not just in Hollywood filmmaking but in the global realm of cinema.
However, for me, Francis Ford Coppola will always be first and foremost Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
Another Injustice

I recently learned from a friend that Injustice 2 is already beta-testing its mobile version of the game. And because I’ve been eagerly been anticipating this for some time now, I immediately downloaded it.
The intro sequence is just awesome.
Check it out.
Buffy Horror Picture Show

I can’t believe I never saw these before. I knew Amber Benson and Anthony Stewart Head were the best singers on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer cast (hence they got a lot of singing parts in Once More With Feeling), but I didn’t know they did this for the Rocky Horror tribute.
Posh and Cords

Trust me, I would so watch this if they actually made a full-length feature. Victoria’s the best, especially because of how she can make fun of herself and the criticism she usually gets, and James is just too too adorbz.
