No More Death Threats for Breakfast

I’ve always been 50/50 about Miriam Defensor Santiago’s politics. She made some great laws and is undeniably highly intelligent, but she has had questionable allegiances (a real political butterfly) and had behaved despicably during EDSA Dos and EDSA Tres. Most disappointingly, she also got into bed with the Marcoses in the last leg of her political life, significantly marring her anti-corruption rhetoric.
Cult of Personality

No, “love of president” is not automatically “love of country” (or vice-versa). Otherwise, then you never loved your country all the times you criticized Duterte, or PNoy, or GMA, or Erap, or Ramos, or Cory, or Marcos, during their time. How fallacious.
This kind of rhetoric is foolish and dangerous, one that has only been propagated by the likes of Hitler, Stalin, and ancient pharaohs who had set themselves up as gods.
Comedian Cosplays Senator and Businessman
by allancarreon on Aug.04, 2016, under Society
Recently, a comedian pretending to be a senator and who shall remain nameless is now pretending to be a businessman, too. He filed a bill would require employers to give 14th month pay on top of existing 13th month obligations.
As with anything that this moron does, there is a lack of intellectual thought and foresight in his output. This is not surprising as he learned business and economics in Iskul Bukol.
Yes, as an employee, I would be very happy to get another full month’s pay. In fact, we used to have it as an incentive in one of my former companies until they scrapped it.
The question is: why did they scrap it?
Pride Minister

As though we needed yet another reason to fall madly in love with him, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made history by being the first leader of their country to join their Pride Parade.
Justin, who is a staunch LGBT supporter and who has won our hearts not just by smiling but also by being open, progressive, and able to summarize quantum computing at the snap of a finger, makes it even better by reiterating that a leader joining the Pride Parade is just how it should be and shouldn’t be a big deal.
